Job summary

Caglia Environmental in Fresno, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support daily maintenance, repairs, and safe operation of heavy equipment and waste processing systems. You will collaborate with the Facility Maintenance Manager, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep plants, crushers, and equipment in good working order while following safety policies.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of maintenance experience and a high school diploma or GED; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years related maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CDL Class C preferred; Class A or B CDL preferred.
• 3+ years hydraulic and MIG/Stick welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and crushers.
• Respond to waste compactor breakdowns and support cleanup projects.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas for safety.
• Update reporting and paperwork to management in a timely manner.
• Suggest improvements to increase efficiency and safety.

POSITION: Maintenance Mechanic

REPORTS TO: Facility Maintenance Manager

LOCATION: Fresno, CA

SALARY RANGE: $20.00 to $35.00/hour, DOE

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Ensure safe and efficient repairs, completion of preventative maintenance intervals, and support numerous other daily maintenance activities. Perform various facility maintenance repairs, respond to waste compactor breakdowns, and operate equipment in support of facility clean up projects.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Maintenance Lead to determine daily
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, crushers, grinders, garbage compactors and other support equipment.
• Perform general maintenance and various repairs on company
• Assist with maintaining parts and materials
• Communicate repair issues on a timely
• Comply with all maintenance policies and
• Report on any unsafe conditions and or
• Ensure the cleanliness and good-working order of all work areas including vehicles, equipment, storage containers, and break rooms.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• Minimum 3-years Related Maintenance Experience Required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Class C License with Acceptable Driving Class A or B Commercial Driver's License Preferred
• 3+ years Hydraulic and MIG/Stick Welding Experience Preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to follow directions, and willingness to learn new
