Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods Distribution Center seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment including PLCs, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics, while following PM schedules and OSHA safety practices.

3–5 years of related experience is required. You will document work in the asset management system, train junior technicians, and coordinate with outside vendors to keep the DC running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent technical training in mechanical or electrical applications.
• 3–5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and equipment.
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Experience with LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
