Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2B shift (Tue-Fri, 5:30p-3:30a) at our Pennsylvania distribution center. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, document work in our asset management system, and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, training junior technicians, and ensuring parts inventory is accurate to keep the DC running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanical/electrical field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• Familiar with PLC controls, hydraulics, pneumatics and safety protocols.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with LOTO and OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems.
• Follow PM standards and document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts usage and assist in inventory control.
• Train junior technicians to improve troubleshooting skills.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
