Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Friendsville, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and troubleshoot facility equipment, conveyors, hydraulics, and PLC-driven controls. Shift 2B: Tue-Fri 5:30p-3:30a with a competitive hourly wage including a shift differential.

You will document work, follow PM schedules, train junior technicians, and collaborate with vendors to complete projects safely in our distribution center.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2-year technical certificate preferred in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or equivalent role.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and equipment.
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Able to stand, bend, lift up to 75 lbs and follow LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements and LOTO.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; follow PM standards and document work.
• Report spare parts usage to leadership and manage inventory levels.
• Train junior technicians and support vendor projects in the DC.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.
• Perform other duties to support DC operations.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
