Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Faribault, MN to set up, adjust, and repair can-line equipment, ensuring quality and production targets.

You will perform preventive maintenance, record measurements, and troubleshoot mechanical issues while prioritizing safety and reliability. The role requires basic math, reading micrometers, and passing aptitude tests; extensive on-the-job training is provided, with a clearly defined progression schedule and opportunity to grow

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass Ramsay Mechanical Aptitude Test.
• Must pass Minimizer Test.
• Must be able to read micrometers and vernier calipers.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, repair, overhaul and perform preventive maintenance on can-line equipment to maintain quality and output.
• Disassemble, replace, reassemble, inspect and maintain machinery as required.
• Measure and record can dimensions against specifications; maintain related records.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs on production equipment.
• Maintain safety for all duties and participate in training programs.

Second shift is offered a 45-cent differential, and third shift offered a 40-cent differential.**Job Accountabilities:**The Maintainer will be responsible for setting up, adjust, repair, overhaul, perform preventive maintenance, quality adjustment checks, and evaluate can line equipment as required to maintain standard quality and quantity production.* Has primary responsibility for safe mechanical performance of line and standard production output.* Disassemble, replace, reassemble, inspect, and maintain assigned machinery and equipment as required.* Measure and record all can dimensions against specifications. Maintain records of production, quality and other related records as directed.* Troubleshoot mechanical issues; perform mechanical repairs and maintenance for production equipment.* Has primary responsibility for safety for all areas of assigned duties.* The successful candidate will be required to complete an 8,000-hour training program to be fully qualified as a Maintainer. Extensive on-the-job-training (OJT) will be provided.**Job Requirements\\**** Must be 18 years or older.* Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift between 10 lbs. - 50 lbs.* Stand at workstation for duration of scheduled shift, which may exceed 8 hours per day.* Ability to perform basic math.* Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.* Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies.* Ability to work in varying temperatures and noise levels.* Ability to work cooperatively with others.* Must have verifiable mechanical, technical aptitude and experience.* Must pass basic Ramsay Mechanical Aptitude Test.* Must pass basic Minimizer Test.* Must have ability to read and utilize micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.* Must be motivated and prepared to participate in S.P.C. projects and functions.Satisfactory progress during progression schedule is necessary for continuation in the training program.
