Job Responsibilities
- Install new or relocated machinery, ensuring proper electrical supply.
- Complete work orders, including replacing lamps, repairing hoses & pumps, responding to temperature complaints, and performing maintenance on manufacturing equipment and building systems.
- Determine whether to repair, replace, or modify equipment, and advise supervisors accordingly.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per schedule, including lubrication and filter changes.
- Perform HVAC-related tasks such as checking belts, lubricating bearings, and changing filters.
- Visually inspect and test machinery, listen for malfunctions, and diagnose issues.
- Dismantle defective machinery and install repaired or new parts.
- Clean and lubricate machine parts.
- Install and maintain piping and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and repair gauges and pressure regulators.
- Maintain the physical structure of the facility.
- Operate machine tools for repairs and fabrication.
- Operate cutting torches or welding equipment as needed.
- Perform pipe fitting, pump rebuilding, and fabrication tasks.
- Be available for on-call duties when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred, plus 3-6 months of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to keep the production facility operational at all times.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and improve.
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
- Mechanical skills, including pipefitting, HVAC, and general maintenance.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills are preferred.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and email.
