Role Description

Under the direction of the Maintenance Engineer, and/or Maintenance Manager, this position installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures as well as pipe and electrical systems. This requires the following specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings. It also requires the use of hand tools to repair, as well as test machinery and equipment to inspect and ensure proper functioning of machines.

Job Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, maintain, diagnose, and troubleshoot machinery and related systems, including:
  • Pneumatic systems: compressors, dryers, boosters, RFLs, air cylinders, poly lines, and quick‑connect fittings.
  • Hydraulic systems: rebuilding pumps and cylinders, crimping hoses, and working with servo valves, solenoids, and transducers.
  • Steam systems: boiler operations, proportional valves, steam traps, PRVs, gas ignitors, high temperature DA pumps, temperature and pressure gauges, and sensors.
  • Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and production to complete assigned tasks.
  • Enter daily work hours into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Prepare material lists, complete safety walkthroughs, and coordinate with production before beginning work.
  • Take initiative in problem analysis and complete RCA documentation for downtime work orders.
  • Perform mold and product changeovers and adjust recipe settings as needed.
  • Use problem‑solving skills to prevent and reduce equipment failures.
  • Develop and carry out improvement proposals to enhance equipment performance.
  • Complete administrative tasks within the CMMS system.
  • Support operators through training and technical guidance.
  • Apply maintenance experience and technical expertise consistently.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
  • Actively troubleshoot issues to maintain equipment reliability.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to ensure optimal machine functionality
  • Skills in Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner
  • Expertise in Maintenance & Repair and Industrial Maintenance within manufacturing or production environments
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with attention to detail and safety protocols
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Relevant certifications or trade school education in maintenance, engineering, or related fields are preferred
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams
Education/Background/Experience
  • High school diploma or GED plus technical training equating apprenticeships
  • Two‑year associate degree
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in a maintenance function in a manufacturing setting
  • Combination of the above
  • Any experience with tier 1 or tier 2 automotive suppliers a plus
  • eMaint CMMS is a plus
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push, pull, and twist. May work in awkward positions. On occasion may lift up to 60 pounds. Valid driver’s license.
