About the role

Under the general Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic performs skilled mechanical work to support overall facility operation and maintain the operation of the process plant and power generation plant in accordance with established production schedules and plant output requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Attend and participate in scheduled training and safety programs. Know, understand, and comply with all company safety regulations and procedures.
2. Perform a wide variety of mechanical, welding, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, preventive maintenance, and fabrication, including pipefitting, rigging, assembly, and disassembly of all types of plant operation equipment, conveyors, piping, structural reinforced plastic, sheet metal systems, and mobile equipment.
3. Consult with operations and work cooperatively with facility operators to ensure machinery is repaired as requested.
4. Report and document equipment inspections.
5. Utilize the CMMS system as trained by supervisor.
6. Complete company, facility, and department training requirements.
7. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Leadership Team.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.

Shift:

1. This position works on an 8-hour shift with on-call duties that include nights, weekends, and some holidays. Overtime will be required.
2. Shift hours can extend to 12 hours during plant outages and for special projects.

Physical Demands of the Role:

1. Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
2. Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
3. Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
4. Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
5. Work in various weather conditions.
