Job summary

The Oaks at Denville, a Springpoint Senior Living Community, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Denville, NJ. You will provide general maintenance for the facility and its residents, including basic carpentry, light repairs, and upkeep of equipment.

Responsibilities include using an electronic work order system, coordinating with vendors, maintaining records of time and scope, and assisting with renovations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in general maintenance or a trade.
• Comfort with basic carpentry and electrical tasks.
• Experience using an electronic work order system.
• Ability to work with vendors and residents professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance for the facility and residents.
• Assist with renovation and remodeling; report stock needs.
• Maintain time and scope records via work orders.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for repairs.
• Respond to emergency situations, including after-hours.
• Follow fire/safety procedures and use PPE as required.

Description

The Oaks at Denville is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team!

The Oaks at Denville is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in Denville, NJ. We are currently in search of a full-time Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. At Springpoint, our Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for providing general maintenance for the facility and its residents.

Responsibilities:

• Basic carpentry knowledge with the understanding of hanging pictures, bulletin boards, hot files, etc.
• Assist in cleaning various equipment throughout the facility, clean out apartments when vacated or after demolition, change light bulbs, change filters, etc.
• Able to make use of an electronic work order system.
• Assist in providing material for renovation and remodeling; report stock that is needed for job performance.
• Maintain accurate records of time and scope utilizing work order request forms.
• Interact well with and assist various vendors and contractors called in to repair or provide services to facility.
• Provide appropriate assistance to residents, co-workers, and visitors. Represent the facility in a professional manner.
• Must be able to report to work at off-hours in cases of emergency.
• Perform all duties in a timely, effective, and cost-efficient manner.
• Complete and return work order tickets at end of day.
• Complete communication forms at apartment detailing work complete if resident was not at home.
• Maintain professional relationships and interact with co-workers, superiors, residents, and visitors.
• Follow published fire and safety procedures. Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ Years experience in general maintenance and/or a particular trade is required

Pay Range: $22.50 - $25.50 / hour
