Job summary

A major grocery retailer is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the upkeep of equipment and infrastructure in their distribution center. Responsibilities include plumbing repairs, maintenance of ventilation systems, and operation of lift trucks. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED along with a Limited Maintenance Industrial license. Attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks safely are essential. Qualifications

• Repair and maintain battery chargers and batteries, keeping them in working condition.
• Maintain tuggers, carts, pallet jacks, sweepers, scrubbers, and fork lift attachments.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, buildings, and fixtures of the distribution center. Maintain lift trucks and keep them in good repair. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
