The Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Helper to assist mechanics with daily repair work and preventive maintenance on equipment. This on-site role emphasizes safety and adherence to company policies while delivering reliable, timely service.

The position requires the ability to read and interpret documents, strong time management, and willingness to learn to operate hand truck, pallet jack, and power lift equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read/interpret documents.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to continue education as necessary.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability/willingness to learn to operate the following equipment: hand truck, hand and power pallet jack, power lift equipment.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and associates in the organization.
• Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and overtime.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to write routine reports/correspondence.

Job description

Responsible for assisting mechanics in daily repair work. Perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
