Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Job Type: Full-Time

Advance Services is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support a leading manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and plant utility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems
• Maintain plant utilities including water, air, steam, and cooling systems
• Inspect and repair pumps, motors, valves, compressors, and production equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders in the maintenance system
• Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and equipment drawings
• Support root‑cause analysis and equipment improvements

Requirements:

• Industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work with motors, gearboxes, pumps, and plant utilities
• Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment

Preferred:

• Technical degree or training in Industrial Maintenance or Mechanical/Electrical Technology
• Experience with SAP or CMMS maintenance systems
