Job summary

Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our Roofing team in Canton, MA. You will perform general facility maintenance, service heavy production machinery, and ensure safety standards on all shifts with differential pay.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of industrial mechanical experience, working knowledge of pneumatic systems, and the ability to troubleshoot conveyors, bearings, belts, and gear-heads. Forklift certification is a plus and a commitment to EH&S is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Degree
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical experience in a production environment
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Familiarity with environmental, health & safety regulations
• Must possess good mechanical aptitude and be able to analyze and troubleshoot problems
• Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls
• Extrusion and sheet line experience a plus

Responsibilities

• General office and manufacturing maintenance
• Lubrication / oil changing of heavy production machinery
• Repair / replace bearings, gear-heads, belts, chains, conveyors, filters, etc.
• Modify existing structural components to comply with safety regulations, cost savings measures as required
• Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health & Safety
• Other tasks as assigned by manager

Job Description

Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanics to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. Currently looking for all shifts. Differential pay (10% for 12 hour day shift and 20% for 12 hour night shift)

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for general facility maintenance on their shift and will report directly to the maintenance Manager.

• General office and manufacturing maintenance
• Lubrication / oil changing of heavy production machinery
• Repair / replace bearings, gear-heads, belts, chains, conveyors, filters, etc.
• Modify existing structural components to comply with safety regulations, cost savings measures as required
• Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health & Safety
• Other tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

• High School Degree
• 5 + years of experience industrial mechanical experience in a production environment
• Prior forklift certification a plus
• Familiarity with environmental, health & safety regulations
