Job description

Our client, a leader in the facilities maintenance industry, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the facilities maintenance department supporting the operation of lab equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:

Maintenance Mechanic

Pay Range:

$25.00 per hour

Shift:

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What’s the Job?
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses all maintenance failures.
  • Performs annual preventative maintenance on all lab equipment.
  • Uses assembly drawings, P&IDs, and manuals to tune equipment for operation.
  • Maintains work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and lab safety guidelines.
  • Trains new associates and team members on required skill sets for maintenance.
What’s Needed?
  • Previous experience (1–3 years) in a food production or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs.
  • Familiarity with operating devices such as gauges, RTDs, pressure transmitters, and flow meters.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors for complex troubleshooting.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to lab safety guidelines.
