Marshall University is seeking a master-level HVAC technician to oversee installation and maintenance of HVAC systems across campus facilities. This role requires expert knowledge in HVAC, commercial refrigeration, and a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure safety and comfort in residence halls and cafeterias.
Work with a crew of general maintenance, campus maintenance specialists, and other assigned personnel while performing both installation of new equipment and general maintenance of existing facilities utilizing master level HVAC skills.
This position is responsible for the full range of work involved in the inspection, adjustment, testing, troubleshooting, cleaning, general repair and new installation of equipment work associated with preventative maintenance and repair of the mechanical equipment, and food service systems of Housing and Residence Life residence halls and cafeterias.
Qualified candidates must possess a great deal of knowledge in commercial refrigeration, and commercial HVAC. Commercial food service equipment, plumbing and electrical is a plus. The incumbent maybe required to work outside the HVAC field to help assist in the completion of projects in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry to insure the safety and comfort of the residence staying on campus.
Required to work overtime, holidays, and perform a call out rotation at the discretion of the supervisor. Advance notice of overtime and holidays is given when possible.
