Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. on-site in Brea, CA seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diverse industrial machinery. Responsibilities include rebuilding equipment to original conditions and coordinating with Engineering and Production teams to resolve issues.

Familiarity with CNC, punch presses, and metal forming machinery is a plus. Strong attention to safety, quality, and documentation is required for this full-time role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 5+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Able to fabricate, weld, or machine parts as required.
• Knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting including power transmission, fluid power, and pneumatics.
• Able to read and understand specifications, procedures, and prints.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery, equipment and systems.
• Rebuild or repair machines to original operating conditions.
• Familiar with CNC machines, punch presses, and other metal forming equipment is a plus.
• Manage projects and document equipment or processes.
• Communicate repair issues with Engineering, Tool Room, and Production Leads; liaise with vendors as needed.
• Perform equipment failure analyses and implement preventative and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

• Mechanically troubleshoot, repair and maintain all types of industrial machinery, equipment and systems.
• Capable of rebuilding or repairing machines or assemblies to original operating conditions
• Familiar with CNC machines, punch presses, and other various metal forming machines a big plus
• Responsible for project management work and/or documentation of product equipment or processes
• Communicate, discuss, and/or review repair problems with Engineering, the Tool Room, Production Team Leads or vendors as needed
• Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance).
• Plan and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment up time.
• Keep neat orderly records and order spare parts.

Compensation:

• $32-$42 dependent on applicable skills and experience

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to fabricate, weld, or machine parts as required
• Must have some knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting including power transmission, fluid power, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read, write, and understand written specifications, procedures and prints.
• Ability to design and execute from verbal instructions.
• Must possess good mechanical aptitude and have the ability to work on close tolerance equipment and/or parts.
• Ability to use various measuring devices (torque wrench, micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators etc.)
• Must be able to use math to calculate dimensions and determine equipment setups.
• Safety and quality conscious.
