Job summary

The Maintenance Mechanic role at CBS, a division of The Donohoe Companies, Inc., supports an office building in Bethesda, Maryland. The position covers general maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry, with a Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm schedule and a pay rate of $30.00 per hour.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years of related experience, and basic computer skills; CFC/EPA certification is preferred. EOE, including disability/veterans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years' experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a commercial or government building.
• CFC/EPA certification preferred.
• Ability to identify common causes of building system failures.
• Ability to conduct routine testing procedures.
• Good computer skills.
• Meet project assignments on time.
• Ability to work on several assignments simultaneously and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Replace ballast, electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Basic plumbing: replace flush valve, wax ring, leaks, sinks.
• Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
• Patch minor holes and cracks in walls or ceilings using plaster or compound.
• Paint structures and equipment.
• Replace damaged ceiling and floor tiles.
• Repair doors and install door locks.
• Replace broken window panes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Mechanic shall have the ability to perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and building requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry work. Must be flexible.

Salary: $30.00 per hour. Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Repairs and maintenance of:

What we are looking for in your resume:

• CFC/EPA certification preferred
