Job summary

Southland Employment Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced maintenance professional for a second shift at a food manufacturing plant in Bell Gardens, CA.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience and a strong background in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical systems, and welding. Responsibilities include maintaining conveyors, boilers, chillers, motors, and related equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring GMP and hygiene standards are followed in the production

Qualifications

• At least six years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or related setting.
• Experience leading a maintenance team and collaborating with other mechanics.
• HVAC, refrigeration, and 3-phase electrical system experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Welding experience (MIG and stick) is helpful.
• Forklift and reach truck maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of GMP and personal hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair conveyors, boilers, chillers, motors, and related production equipment.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, and processing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams and installations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Operate and maintain forklifts/reach trucks used in the facility.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs and sanitary practices in the production area.

Our client manufactures Chinese and other Asian food products.Due to their recent growth, they are looking to add to their maintenance team on second shift.
