Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Bell Gardens, CA, is seeking a maintenance lead for the second shift in a food production environment. The role requires guiding a team of mechanics and sustaining HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems across the plant.

Applicants should have at least six years of experience in food manufacturing maintenance, be familiar with GMPs and hygiene practices, and be comfortable reading blueprints and operating forklifts.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience leading a maintenance team in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing, beverage or bottling facilities.
• HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Industrial cooling/heating, refrigeration, AC and heating systems.
• Freezer inspection and repair experience.
• Welding experience (MIG and stick) preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Electrical work up to 480V 3-phase; sensors and conduit work.
• Forklift and reach truck maintenance and operation.
• Maintenance of conveyors, boilers, rotors and gears.
• Adhere to GMPs and personal hygiene standards.

Our client manufactures Chinese and other Asian food products.Due to their recent growth, they are looking to add to their maintenance team on second shift. The ideal candidate will have at least six years experience in the following areas:- Proven leader with experience supporting a team and collaborating with other mechanics in a team environment.Experience working in a food manufacturing or beverage or bottling company.HVAC troubleshooting and repair.Experience in industrial cooling and heating, refrigeration, air conditioning and heating is applicable.Freezer inspection, trouble shooting and repairExperience in Welding - Mig and stick is helpfulCan read blueprints / schematics.Electrical: conduit, 420 V, 3 phase, sensors, PVC workElectrical: up to 480V, 3 phase motors, AC/DC circuitsWire new motors to the production lineForklift and reach truck maintenance, repair and operationMaintenance FacilityHydraulic systems and pneumatic systemsMechanical: cutting machinery, punch presses, boilers, conveyors, motors, chillersMechanical Work: conveyors, rotors, shafts, bearings, gears, installation of blades, etc.Must be open to working and adapting to a food production facilityMust follow good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and good personal hygiene practices
