PPG Barberton/Norton, OH is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for second and third shift. Starting pay is $34.80 per hour with sign-on and retention bonuses. Overtime may be required to meet production needs across a chemical facility.

The role focuses on repairing, modifying and installing equipment, diagnosing issues and performing preventative maintenance while ensuring safety and compliance with 5-S standards and plant procedures.

Qualificações

• Five years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical facility.
• Experience with pump and gearbox rebuilds.
• HVAC or electrical experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand technical documents, manuals and CAD drawings.
• Must be able to wear PPE, including a respirator and work overtime as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Repair, modify and install equipment to maintain facility operation.
• Diagnose problems and replace or repair parts for complex systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on belts, piping, filters, pumps and motors.
• Work in confined spaces, at heights, on ladders or roofs as required.
• Document work and maintain records using the CMMS and technical docs.
• Observe machines to detect malfunctions and apply root-cause analysis.

IMMEDIATELY HIRING!

Starting Pay: $34.80/Hour

Sign On Bonus: $1000, $500 payable after 90 days on job, $500 payable after 180 days on job.

$1000 Retention Bonus payable after 365 days on job.

Shift

2nd Shift 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, Monday – Friday

3rd Shift 11:00 pm – 7:00 am, Sunday – Thursday

Overtime based on business needs.

As a Maintenance - Mechanic, you will be a critical part of the production team, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are performing at top notch! Your work will directly affect people's lives!

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, modify and install equipment or machinery to maintain and operate the facility.
• Repair sophisticated equipment building systems by diagnosing problems and replacing or repairing parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance on belts, piping, filters, mixers, valves, bearings, motors, gear boxes, dies, extruders, feeders, rolls, drive chains, classifiers, mills, and mechanical seals and pumps.
• Work in confined spaces, elevated platforms, ladders, scaffolding and roofs.
• Perform all tasks associated with troubleshooting equipment and proof test equipment as necessary to solve problems and pro-actively prevent them.
• Promote and utilize 5-S standards for the line to improve efficiency, cleanliness and safety.
• Perform all tasks associated with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Recognize problems, identify root causes and develop options to address the root cause within time constraints, and select and implement appropriate solutions.
• Accurately maintains records and reports as required.
• Work from detailed technical documents, blueprints, and schematics
• May observe production machines in assigned areas of manufacturing facility to detect malfunctions.
• Basic welding and fabrication

Qualifications

• Five years of previous Industrial Maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical facility.
• Certified Maintenance Apprenticeship Program or Mechanical Institute Certificate.
• Experience in pump and gearbox rebuilds.
• HVAC or Electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand technical documents/manuals and CAD drawings of plant equipment.
• Ability to perform work in confined space, work at various heights, lifting and manual labor.
• Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel software, MicroMain,SAP,or similar CMMS Operating systems.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Have good attendance and safety record.
