Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment such as shredders and conveyors at our Asheboro, NC facility. You will inspect mechanical and electrical systems, perform basic troubleshooting and failure analysis, and keep thorough maintenance records to ensure reliable operations.

The position requires reading precision instruments, potentially holding a CDL, and applying safe, inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year of verifiable maintenance experience or 5 years in plant industrial maintenance including heavy equipment.
• Ability to read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators and digital multimeters.
• Experience maintaining industrial equipment like shredders, conveyors and forklifts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect and repair mechanical and electrical systems on equipment such as shredders and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems in plumbing, electrical and basic carpentry.
• Welding and fabricating to repair and build secondary equipment; replace lighting, fans and minor plumbing as needed.
• Maintain equipment maintenance records.
• Influence safety and efficiency by documenting actions and ensuring proper procedures are followed.

About the role

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled worker in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company equipment such as conveyers, shredders and other plant maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect and repair all parts of equipment, mechanical, and electrical systems on equipment such as shredders, conveyers, some heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems on building plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and pump rebuilding and repair on facility as needed.
• Welding and fabricating to repair and build and secondary equipment.
• Replacing lighting receptacles/bulbs, fans, some minor plumbing upon occasion.
• Complete equipment maintenance records.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 7 am to 5 pm (can be flexible with start time). Average 8-10 hours a day. Some OT including Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 years' of verifiable maintenance experience or minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in plant industrial maintenance including heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, excavators
• Valid Drivers License, CDL a plus

• Must be able to read precision instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, digital multi-meters, and other electronic diagnostic tools.
• Previous experience with maintenance on industrial equipment and industrial maintenance such as shredders, conveyors, forklifts, etc

Physical Demands:

• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions
• Frequently required to stand, sit, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach
• Climbing ladders and structures; must be able to tolerate heights.

Schedule

• Typically, Monday through Friday - day shift

Pay Transparency

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 20.72 - 27.60 USD per hour
