Job summary

Malarkey, a leader in roofing technology, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Annapolis, MD. You will maintain and repair plant machinery, respond to breakdowns, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations on a modern production line.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 4 years of relevant experience. Candidates must follow safety protocols and use Amrize-approved PPE where required.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED.
• Experience in industrial maintenance and mechanical systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment to ensure safe operation.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Rig, move, and install equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform fabrication work, including cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping, and basic machining.
• Replace bearings, align shafts, and install couplings and other mechanical components.
• Maintain an organized, clean work area and properly store the tools.
• Accurately document that the work performed is in the maintenance records or the CMMS system.
• Communicate effectively with and demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED
• Field of Study Preferred: Industrial/Machine Maintenance
• Required Work Experience: 4 years
• Travel Requirements: N/A

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
