Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. seeks a Maintenance Mechanic-Manufacturing to maintain and plan mechanical equipment, reducing delays and downtime across the plant. You will work with multiple departments to keep machinery running and support safety and efficiency goals.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 3–5 years of experience, and adherence to PPE and safety protocols. Join a team focused on durable, environmentally responsible building products.

  • Communicate plant machinery needs across supervisory personnel.
  • Support preventive/predictive maintenance programs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The maintenance mechanic works with various departments throughout the manufacturing environment to maintain, plan, and provide mechanical equipment maintenance to reduce delays, costs, and breakdowns.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Responsible for adherence to all company policies, including, but not limited to and the use of personal protective equipment, other health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Responsible for maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
  • Assists others with the necessary techniques and knowledge of trade.
  • Maintains all tools and work areas in an orderly fashion.
  • Interprets mechanical prints, drawings and technical data to conduct maintenance of machinery.
  • Assists engineering and production departments in the development and execution of ideas to improve products, machinery and methods.
  • Responsible for timely communicating and coordinating plant machinery needs and requirements throughout supervisory personnel.
  • Provides input on preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Assist electricians and engineers on routine tasks as needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Field of Study Preferred: Manufacturing/Maintenance

Required Work Experience: 3-5 years

Travel Requirements: N/A

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
