Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Procurement Support role in Houston, TX. The position focuses on obtaining quotes, processing requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating vendor deliveries for maintenance items.

Responsibilities include inventory control, receiving and inspecting items, and maintaining accurate CMMS records. The role requires basic Excel skills and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment with PPE as needed.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Access and Outlook
• Strong customer service and phone skills
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment
• Exposure to routine industrial and safety hazards requiring PPE (Ear plugs, Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes)

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes and pricing for requested maintenance items
• Enter purchase requisitions and ensure POs are issued
• Submit PO requests and coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries
• File and track hard-copy POs; receive and inspect items
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks
• Unload trucks and verify deliveries against packing lists and POs
• Manage and organize the tool crib layout and inventory locations
• Develop relationships with approved vendors and support vendor-managed items
