Job summary
Slate is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager in the United States to lead a multi-skilled maintenance team across production uptime, equipment reliability, and safety. You will drive preventative maintenance, root-cause analysis, and capital-project execution with a strong focus on TPM and Lean practices.
The role requires 10+ years in industrial maintenance, 4+ years in supervision, a engineering degree (preferred), and hands-on expertise with PLCs, robotics, hydraulic/pneumatic systems,
Qualifications
- 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience with 4+ years in supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred).
- Proven leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
- Plan and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, robotics systems.
- Coordinate contractors and capital projects ensuring safety and quality.
- Partner with Production to reduce downtime and perform RCA.
- Manage spare parts inventory and cost controls.
- Lead installations, rebuilds, and equipment upgrades.
- Review blueprints and schematics to support repairs.
- Document work orders and downtime metrics; report KPIs.
- Oversee vendor quotes and safety compliance.
- Drive 5S and safety culture in the shop.
- Advise leadership on long-term equipment reliability.
