Mercy Housing in Glendale, AZ seeks a Maintenance Manager to provide hands-on building maintenance and oversee budgets and vendor contracts for an affordable apartment community for seniors.

The role has no direct reports but collaborates with a maintenance technician; on-site only. Salary is commensurate with experience, and benefits include healthcare, PTO, holidays, retirement plan, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of experience in skilled maintenance work.
• Technical expertise in one or more building trade.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Property Manager to ensure that budgets are followed and achieved, where possible.
• Performs apartment repairs and turnovers.
• Ensures that company procurement standards are met.
• Collaborates with Property Manager to ensure that maintenance contracts meet or exceed the best possible quality and expense standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Manager will work in collaboration with property management to provide hands‑on building maintenance and oversee budget and vendor contracts for The Cascalote, an affordable apartment community for seniors in Glendale, AZ.

This role has no direct reports, but may work in partnership with a maintenance technician to complete maintenance tasks.

This is an on‑site position.

Pay: $28‑30/hour, dependent on experience.

• Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints. Draft make working sketches. Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
• Effectively oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.
