Job summary

RIDGEVIEW/RIDGEWOOD HEALTH SERVICES is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the Maintenance Department, develop policies, oversee safety programs, and coordinate with other departments to ensure a clean, safe environment for residents.

The role requires supervisory maintenance experience, knowledge of building systems, ability to read blueprints, and strong planning skills. Excellent communication and leadership are essential in this on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of supervisory maintenance/plant experience.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to plan and carry out repair, new construction, and equipment installation.
• Ability to relate information about a resident's condition.

Responsibilities

• Help, plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance services with related departments (Dietary, Nursing, etc.).
• Inspect storage rooms, work rooms, and closets for upkeep and supply control.
• Attend department head meetings and schedule departmental meetings.
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Maintain inventory and records; place orders for equipment and supplies.
• Ensure outside services are properly completed and supervised.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in QAPI activities.
