Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing's Bridgeton plant seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead multi-discipline maintenance teams, drive safety initiatives, and optimize equipment reliability and productivity. You will manage day-to-day operations, align PM programs with production needs, and coordinate with external contractors.

Strong leadership, planning, and maintenance experience in automotive environments are essential.

Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Technical Discipline strongly preferred.
Three to five years’ work experience in a maintenance leadership role across multiple shifts.
Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance programs required.
Willingness and ability to obtain operating licenses (hilo, crane, lift).
Automotive industry experience preferred.
Computer literacy including MS Office and Plex ERP experience.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance employees of multiple disciplines and assign daily tasks.
Oversee safety, reliability, efficiency, and productivity of equipment.
Manage maintenance supervisors and personnel across presses, welds, and related areas.
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth performance and adequate training.
Maintain predictive and preventive maintenance programs using metrics and PM planning.
Install or modify manufacturing equipment to meet production needs and collaborate with outside contractors.
Respond to production emergencies and equipment downtime promptly.
Drive continuous improvement and cost metrics aligned with corporate goals.
