Job summary

Fourth & U Apartments in Berkeley, CA seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead a hands-on maintenance team. You’ll inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing and building systems, handle HVAC and electrical tasks, and supervise staff ensuring timely unit turnover and high resident satisfaction.

You will uphold safety, cleanliness, and quality across common areas, amenities, and grounds while delivering excellent service to residents and vendors. 3–5 yrs of experience preferred. Full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on property or facilities maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and repair of fixtures, leaks, and blocks.
• Experience supervising staff and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, and repair pipes, fixtures, leaks, and blockages across buildings.
• Lead staff to prepare units for move-ins and coordinate tasks.
• Troubleshoot service requests and perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, drywall and carpentry.
• Maintain amenities such as pool and hot tub and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Perform daily building checks and engage with residents, vendors, and teammates.
