Job summary

Perdue Farms Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a high-performing maintenance operation ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant production.

You will drive maintenance strategies, supervise staff, ensure preventive and predictive maintenance, and manage vendor coordination while maintaining regulatory compliance across facilities. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering and 5+ years of related experience are required; travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, math, organizational and analytical skills.
• Requires travel to other facilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy maintenance programs to improve plant and equipment performance.
• Promote safety and demand it from the maintenance organization.
• Manage maintenance staff including hiring, training and development.
• Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance is performed and documented.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in projects.
• Oversee continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and long-term plans.
• Manage the maintenance management system.
• Coordinate work by outside vendors.
