Job summary

Our Client, a global leader in Pet Goods Manufacturing, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering/maintenance function and drive TPM and OEE improvements. You will develop a high-performing team, embed zero-harm culture, and collaborate with Production and Quality to safeguard plant capability.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance planning, root-cause analysis, CMMS systems (MEX/SAP), and capital project support.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in driving a Zero Harm culture.
• Dairy experience is required.
• Lean manufacturing techniques and root cause analysis training desirable.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop maintenance teams.
• Experience in equipment criticality and failure mode analysis.
• Exposure to lean principles for continuous improvement.
• Understanding of OHS regulations and food safety practices.
• Exceptional communication skills and strong rapport-building.
• CMMS experience with MEX or SAP.
• Flexible, resilient approach to a positive team environment.

• Provide leadership, coaching and support to maintenance, allocating & prioritising tasks to execute maintenance and reliability plans
• Work closely with Production and Quality teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain plant production capability
• Perform Root Cause Analysis on all critical failures of plant and ensure action items derived are implemented and sustained
• Enhance and expand the site preventative maintenance program to efficiently support Operations and innovation
• Set the overall strategy and standards for best to improve efficiency minimise production downtime
• Co-ordinate all contractor support, services, and maintenance activity (Inc. Financials)
• Actively support the implementation of capital projects

About this opportunity

A critical leadership role, the Maintenance Manager will lead the engineering/maintenance function to ensure the highest standards of asset care, while transforming the team into an engineering powerhouse that will support Safety, Quality, and Production through condition and TPM functions that underpin OEE improvement.

With a strong commitment to accelerate safety and productivity performance, you will lead and coach your team to embed a culture of continuous improvement and best practice maintenance methodologies

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Provide leadership, coaching and support to the maintenance, allocating & prioritising tasks to execute maintenance and reliability plans

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Visible belief and demonstrated leadership in driving a Zero Harm culture
• Dairy experience is a musts
• Formal training in Lean manufacturing techniques and root cause analysis (desirable)
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop maintenance teams
• Related industry experience, preferably within the CPG industry but not essential
• Experience in equipment criticality and failure mode analysis
• Exposure to lean principles for continuous improvement
• Understanding of OHS regulations and food safety practices
• Exceptional communication skills and strong rapport-building techniques
• Advanced skills in CMMS software/systems such as MEX or SAP
• A flexible, resilient approach that encourages a positive work/team environment
