Job summary

JRoss Recruiters is seeking a Maintenance Leader to oversee daily maintenance operations across a hospitality property in Connecticut, focused on safety, reliability, and guest experience.

You will develop preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water systems, and life safety equipment, while coordinating external contractors.

Lead a high-performing team, coach staff, and foster collaboration across departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance, engineering, facilities, hospitality, or commercial property operations.

• Ensure all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably to support an exceptional guest experience.
• Lead proactive maintenance practices that identify and resolve issues before they impact guests.
• Partner with Operations, Housekeeping, and other departments to maintain a seamless, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
• Respond quickly to operational challenges while minimizing disruption.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve facility performance, reliability, and efficiency.

• Lead daily maintenance operations across the property.

Business Performance & Asset Stewardship

• Manage maintenance labour, inventory, and operating expenses responsibly.
• Extend the lifecycle of property assets through disciplined preventative maintenance practices.
• Balance operational reliability with sustainability and financial responsibility.
• Use performance data and operational insights to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Support capital planning and equipment replacement strategies.

Requirements

• Experience leading maintenance, engineering, facilities, hospitality, wellness, or commercial property operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, water systems, and life safety equipment.
• Experience developing preventative maintenance programs and managing facility improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, continuous improvement, and exceptional guest experiences.
