Mercy Housing is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager in Joplin, MO. You will work with property management to perform building maintenance, oversee the budget, and manage vendor contracts for Mercy Village. This on-site role pays $24-27/hour, depending on experience, with comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, 3 years of skilled maintenance experience, and technical expertise in building trades. Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Patch and paint walls, trim, and ceilings.
• Clean, repair, and maintain appliances.
• Prepare units for new residents, including turnover work.
• Perform routine plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Manage day-to-day maintenance functions.
• Assist with maintenance budget oversight.
• Coordinate and manage vendor contracts with the property management team.

Pay: $24-27/hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do

• Legally operate a motor vehicle

Knowledge And Skills

• Work in a collaborative manner and in a team environment.
• Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing. Present information to groups of people.
• Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.
• Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints. Draft working sketches.
• Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
• Effectively oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle
