You will oversee the complete operation of the maintenance facility, create a safe, efficient work environment and supervise staff, including hiring, training and performance reviews. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance and cost-conscious shop management. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in shop/truck maintenance, 2+ years of leadership, and strong skills in scheduling, safety, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 1 year of pro experience per year of college.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in shop or working with trucks.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the maintenance facility in full; ensure safe, efficient work environment.
• Supervise staff: hiring, training, evaluation, scheduling and productivity reviews.
• Monitor turnover and implement approved morale/retention improvements.
• Provide corrective actions as needed and manage vendor relations.
• Coordinate maintenance of new trucks/trailers and monitor trade programs.
• Prepare daily reports on out-of-service equipment and communicate with operations.
• Support DOT compliance and OSHA standards.
• Oversee fleet parts and tire inventory for cost efficiency.
