Job summary

American Air Filter is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead two nearby plants with a focus on project management, automation, and preventive maintenance optimization.

The role drives equipment uptime, OEE improvement, and world‑class maintenance support for operations and long‑term capital initiatives. You will supervise technicians and contractors, ensure safety compliance, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Experience leading capital projects and maintenance automation initiatives.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and safety/environmental compliance.
• Experience managing two nearby plants and maintenance workforce.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute maintenance and engineering projects, including capital improvements and facility upgrades.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and EHS for timely project delivery.
• Lead selection and optimization of automated systems (PLCs, SCADA, robotics, IoT).
• Train and support maintenance teams on new technologies and platforms.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Utilize CMMS to schedule, track, and report maintenance activities.
• Monitor OEE metrics and drive continuous improvement.
