Job summary

ZIEHL-ABEGG in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function for production equipment, utilities, and facilities, ensuring maximum reliability, efficiency, and safety.

This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, manages a team of technicians, and drives continuous improvement to minimize downtime and optimize asset performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, with 3+ years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machines, assembly lines, and automated equipment.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Proven expertise in preventive, predictive, and reliability-based maintenance.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and develop the maintenance team to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
• Allocate resources, assign work priorities, and monitor performance to meet plant requirements.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for CNC machines and production lines.
• Ensure timely execution of planned shutdowns, equipment overhauls, and capital projects.
• Maintain plant infrastructure and utilities, manage spare parts inventory, and calibrate equipment.
• Drive TPM and reliability-centered maintenance practices to reduce downtime.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead,train, anddevelopthemaintenanceteamtosupport 24/7manufacturingoperations.
• Allocateresources,assignworkpriorities, and monitorperformancetomeetplantrequirements.
• Promote acultureofsafety,accountability, andcontinuousimprovement.

MaintenancePlanning&Execution

• Developand managepreventiveandpredictivemaintenanceprogramsforCNCmachines,stator/rotorproductionlines, andassemblyequipment.
• Ensuretimelyexecutionofplannedshutdowns,equipmentoverhauls, andcapitalprojects.

Asset & Facility Management

• Maintainplantinfrastructure,includingutilities (HVAC,compressedair,electricalsystems) andbuildingfacilities.
• Manage sparepartsinventoryandensurecriticalcomponentsareavailablewhenneeded.
• Overseecalibrationofmeasurementandtestequipment.
• Implement TotalProductiveMaintenance (TPM) andreliability-centeredmaintenancepractices.
• Driveprojectstoimprovemachineuptime,extendassetlife, andreducemaintenancecosts.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensurecompliancewithsafety, environmental, andregulatorystandards.
• Developand track KPIs suchasMTBF (Mean TimeBetweenFailures), MTTR (Mean TimetoRepair), and equipmentavailability.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
• 7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machines, assembly lines, and automated equipment.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Provenexpertisein preventive, predictive, and reliability-based maintenance.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strongknowledgefacilities machines and equipment.
• Basic computer skills and familiar with MS Office Suite
