Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking a Manager of Maintenance to lead the fleet maintenance function and supervise a team of 10-15 technicians. You will ensure on-time maintenance, proper mileage tracking, and DOT compliance in a fast-moving logistics environment.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, budgeting abilities, KPI tracking, and a commitment to safety and efficiency across our operations in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Degree in Maintenance, Logistics, Supply Chain or Business preferred but not necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of regulations, laws, and DOT compliance.
• Multitasking abilities.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Strong negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

Our Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing the functioning of all fleet maintenance. Responsible for managing a team of fleet maintenance professionals and ensuring compliance with DOT laws.
