Job summary

Graham Packaging is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee plant maintenance and coordinate activities with other departments to ensure production of quality products at cost and on schedule. The role requires directing maintenance teams, managing safety and GMP adherence, and partnering with Engineering to implement efficiency improvements.

• A bachelor’s degree and/or related maintenance experience is required.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in a maintenance supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand, follow and enforce all safety, health, quality GMP, and company policies and procedures.
• Develop new methods and procedures to optimize manufacturing efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Maintain contact with Engineering on upgrades to machinery and systems to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Investigate causes of breakdowns and implement programs to reduce recurrence.
• Manage the maintenance budget to ensure efficient use of funds and prevent unnecessary purchases.
• Select, train and develop shift personnel to meet department goals.
• Coordinate with vendors and conduct plant visits as needed.
• May lead special projects in related areas.
