Job summary

Alutiiq, LLC is seeking a Contract Maintenance Manager at Joint Base San Antonio–Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. The role oversees HVAC, electrical, and plumbing system maintenance under the PWS, coordinating with CO, PM, COR, and lab SME to ensure contract success.

The incumbent will manage contract performance, supervise staff, and ensure documentation and deliverables are accurate and timely. This is a potential award position contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in medical or research facility operations, including supervising personnel or subcontractors.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as HVAC Mechanic or Technician.
• Working knowledge of NFPA and OSHA codes and standards.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point between the CO, CE PM, COR, lab SME, and management on contractual performance matters.
• Hold authority to act on contract tasks and changes on behalf of the contractor.
• Ensure HVAC, electrical, and plumbing work meets required standards and PWS requirements.
• Direct and monitor staff performance, maintain open communication with stakeholders.

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

ALCYON, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, is accepting applications for a potential Contract Maintenance Manager (CMM) opportunity at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. The CMM serves as the focal point between the assigned CO, CE PM, COR, lab SME, and the subsidiary’s management regarding all issues and discrepancies. The CMM shall have full authority to act for the contractor on all task order matters. The CMM shall be knowledgeable in the performance of work to support heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), control systems, electrical, and plumbing repairs.

• Responsible for ensuring that work performed under the PWS meets all requirements and responsibilities.
• Ultimately responsible for all contract activities and performance and holds the requisite authority to make and implement decisions regarding contract performance and changes to the contract.
• Ensures the customer’s facilities are operated and maintained cost effectively, efficiently, and are in first-class condition. Directs and monitors the performance of the BOSS staff, resolves problems and/or conflicts and maintains open communication with staff, the customer, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensures all documentation and deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on-time, develops/presents formal presentations for various contract and corporate business requirements.
• Tracks, analyzes, and trends project costs/oversees the planning, budgeting, and financial process.
• Ensures compliance with training and certification requirements.
• Serves as primary point of contact between the company and the Government for all contract performance matters
• Accomplishes contract objectives, planning, budgeting, overseeing and documenting all aspects of each specific contract section.
• Works closely with management to make sure that the scope and direction of the contract is on schedule, and in conformance with the contract requirements.
• Directly accountable for and response of non-conformance reports and for legal compliance of contracting activities including relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least three (3) years of experience in medical or research facility operations, which includes managing personnel or subcontractors who perform operation, maintenance, or repair of facility systems, subsystems, and standard research equipment.
• Minimum, ten (10) years of experience as a HVAC Mechanic or Technician.
• Working experience with NFPA and OSHA codes and standards.
• Become familiar with the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories (BMBL), and related accrediting organizations.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Salary range:$80,000 to $120,000 per year
