Job summary

International Paper in Richland, MS, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a 24/7 maintenance team at the Jackson Box Plant. The role involves coordinating maintenance, guiding technicians, and ensuring safety and efficiency of operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of maintenance leadership in manufacturing, with experience in corrugated packaging and knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Five+ years’ maintenance and leadership experience in a manufacturing plant.
• College and/or related technical courses preferred.
• Five years’ experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise employees in the everyday coordination, execution and planning of maintenance efforts, including a 24/7 maintenance team.
• Report to Site Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes known, while providing technical expertise regarding plant equipment and facilities.
• Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program and Implement quality improvement and cost reduction ideas.
• Contact and work with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.
• Maintains adequate inventories of spare parts and Purchase materials, parts, and supplies as required.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Identify areas where safety issues could arise and take measures to proactively address the concerns.
• Plans, schedules and monitors the timely completion of maintenance work orders.
• Maintain a good working relationship with the plant management, supervisory staff and hourly employees.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Continually communicate in a positive manner.
• Participate in weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual safety and environmental audits.

Physical Location

• Current location is at the Jackson Box Plant in Richland, MS
• State of the art facility currently under construction in Brandon, MS is expected to open in early 2028. All operations and personnel will transition to the new Brandon location following completion.

The Job You Will Perform
