Job summary

Schwartz Brothers Bakery, part of the Schwartz Brothers Restaurants family, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead a 24/7 maintenance team in a fast-paced production environment. You will balance technical work with leadership to keep equipment reliable and up to safety standards.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, teamwork, and impact on day-to-day operations, including planning preventive maintenance and coordinating with production to avoid downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge across electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and make decisions under pressure.

What you’ll do

As our Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be a key leader on the floor—balancing hands‑on technical work with team leadership and coordination.

• Lead, coach, and support a team of maintenance technicians


• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance to minimize downtime


• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively


• Prioritize daily maintenance needs in partnership with production


• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards


• Support and maintain systems including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical equipment


• Oversee boiler operations, safety checks, and routine maintenance


• Train team members and help build a strong, reliable maintenance team


• Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventative maintenance


• Partner with leadership on process improvements and equipment upgrade

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or food production environment preferred


• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred


• Strong technical knowledge of:


• Electrical systems (including 3-phase power)


• Plumbing and general mechanical systems


• Ability to troubleshoot and make sound decisions under pressure


• Strong organizational and communication skills


• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, 24/7 production environment

The pay range for this role is: $82,000-$85,000/year, DOE

The pay range for this role is:

82,000 - 85,000 USD per year (660 - REB - Renton Bakery)

82,000 - 85,000 USD per year (640 - SBB - Seattle Bakery)
