Job summary
Schwartz Brothers Bakery is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead a 24/7 maintenance team, ensuring safe, reliable operation of electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems in a high-volume bakery.
You will balance technical work with team leadership, drive preventative maintenance, and coordinate with production to minimize downtime while upholding safety and quality standards. Growth opportunities are available within a busy, nationwide bakery network.
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support a team of maintenance technicians.
- Plan and oversee preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively.
- Prioritize daily maintenance needs in partnership with production.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards.
- Support and maintain systems including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Oversee boiler operations, safety checks, and routine maintenance.
- Train team members and help build a strong, reliable maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Partner with leadership on process improvements and equipment upgrade.

As our Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be a key leader on the floor—balancing hands‑on technical work with team leadership and coordination.
- Lead, coach, and support a team of maintenance technicians
- Plan and oversee preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively
- Prioritize daily maintenance needs in partnership with production
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards
- Support and maintain systems including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
- Oversee boiler operations, safety checks, and routine maintenance
- Train team members and help build a strong, reliable maintenance team
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventative maintenance
