Job summary

Movement Search and Delivery in Princeton, KY seeks a Maintenance Manager for a Large Aerospace Manufacturer. The role leads maintenance planning and execution to maximize equipment uptime across plant and office facilities.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, supervising 10 direct reports, and coordinating with union staff to implement cost-effective maintenance strategies. A Bachelor’s or technical degree is required, with heavy industry experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or technical certification or equivalent experience.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of heavy industry mechanical systems including high pressure hydraulics.
  • Minimum 4 years in heavy manufacturing (steel, automotive or forging).
  • Union shop experience preferred; CMMS experience is a plus.

  • Develop knowledge of critical equipment to troubleshoot and drive efficiencies.

  • Manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors and internal personnel on projects.

  • Maintain well-trained, safe, and motivated maintenance staff.

Job description

Movement Search and Delivery is working with a Large Aerospace Manufacturer in Princeton, KY to identify a Maintenance Manager.

Salary Expectations:

-130-150k

-30% bonus

Keys to this role:

  • Forging Environment -- Heavy industry experience is required
  • Maintenance team leadership and budget management experience required
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing is a plus
  • 10 direct reports
  • Ability to create maintenance schedules is IDEAL

Purpose

This position involves a wide variety of job conditions and off-hour responsibility for plant facilities, which are unique to the Maintenance function. The Maintenance Manager directs the Maintenance departments to prepare and fulfill repair, construction, and preventive maintenance schedules which maximize the availability of production equipment and facilities throughout the plant and office areas. Strategic planning, shutdown preparation and facilities upkeep are key roles to insure continued success.

Essential Job Functions
  • Position requires excellent communication with all levels of the organization
  • Develop intimate and thorough knowledge of critical equipment to troubleshoot, optimize and drive efficiencies.
  • Ability to successfully navigate, instruct and engage a union workforce
  • Manage budget, schedule, subcontractors and internal personnel on projects
  • Initiate and control cost effective methods of operation for the Plant Maintenance Department.
  • Maximize availability of tools and equipment in the plants through prompt and reliable maintenance.
  • Insures a well-trained and properly motivated workforce and supervisory staff.
  • Develops safe and well-maintained departmental areas.
  • Initiates operating improvements through innovative maintenance techniques.
  • Manages, updates and controls the preventative maintenance program on the plant and equipment.
  • Contributes to the Company current and long-range budgetary equipment rehabilitation programs consistent with Company objectives.
  • Effectively interprets and administers the Company and bargaining unit document consistent with good management procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or technical certification and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Mechanical, Electrical Engineering Degree highly preferred
  • Thorough technical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of heavy industry mechanical systems including High Pressure Hydraulics
  • Proven track record of maintenance planning and project management
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Heavy Manufacturing (Steel making, automotive or forging preferred)
  • Union shop experience preferred
  • Experience in maintenance planning and CMMS system a plus
