Job summary

iCare Health Network is seeking a Maintenance Manager to direct and conduct physical plant maintenance and grounds upkeep at a nursing home. The role includes overseeing building improvements, utilities, and mechanical/electric systems to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will supervise maintenance staff, maintain preventive maintenance logs, provide training, manage budgets, and coordinate with administration on projects.

Qualifications

• Four years of maintenance experience required.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, construction, plant maintenance and HVAC required.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) required.
• Knowledge of state and federal building codes required.
• Supervisory experience in maintenance required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise maintenance staff and facilities to be kept in good order.
• Review and maintain preventive maintenance logs and schedules.
• Provide training and development to maintenance staff on basic plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Ensure repairs on wheelchairs, beds, furniture, appliances, and facility systems are completed.
• Collaborate with Administrator on staff relations and budgeting for supplies and projects.
• Maintain a positive, respectful attitude toward residents and staff.

Summary:

The primary role of the Maintenance Manager is to direct and conduct physical plant maintenance and grounds upkeep at a nursing home. Maintenance includes building improvements, grounds, utilities, and mechanical/electric systems.

Responsibilities

• Manages maintenance staff and ensures assigned building, grounds and facilities are maintained at all times.
• Reviews and maintains preventive maintenance logs and ensure that preventative maintenance is being done on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Responsible for providing training and development to all maintenance staff such as basic plumbing and electrical in accordance with regulations and company policies.
• Ensures that all repair work is completed on wheelchairs, beds, furniture, dryers, air conditioning units, refrigerators, freezers, floors, and ceilings.
• With Administrator oversight, is responsible for Maintenance staff employee relations.
• Works closely with the Administrator to manage and operate within the allotted budget, including ordering supplies and equipment and planning for future projects.
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude towards management, residents, employees, and visitors.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four years' experience in maintenance work, required.
