Job summary

ALPLA Group in Vandalia, OH is hiring a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and improve molding and production equipment. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineers to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a 2-year technical degree or relevant experience. You will read blueprints, work with hydraulics and pneumatics, and participate in safety programs.

Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in ALPLA or similar industrial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance Safety.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with power transmission systems and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Install and perform preventive maintenance on proprietary ALPLA equipment.
  • Conduct regular maintenance to ensure machinery operates reliably and efficiently.
  • Perform adjustments to machinery to meet production requirements.
  • Execute predictive maintenance using condition monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Diagnose problems and collaborate with technical experts to repair molding machines.

What Will You Enjoy Doing

Equipment installation and preventative maintenance:
- Set up proprietary ALPLA equipment
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure
optimal functionality and prolong equipment lifespan.
-Perform adjustments to machinery as needed to enhance performance and
accommodate specific production requirements.

Perform predictive maintenance:

- Utilize predictive maintenance methodologies, such as condition monitoring and
diagnostic tools, to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime or
production disruptions.
- Employ specialized technical knowledge to perform predictive maintenance
tasks, including assessing equipment health.
Troubleshooting and repairs:

-Diagnose technical problems and malfunctions in molding machines using a
systematic approach to identify root causes accurately.
- Collaborate with technical experts and utilize troubleshooting techniques to
