Job summary

Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort® is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department, overseeing plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems, and supervising pools, spas and wasteplant compliance. The role requires ensuring guest safety, adherence to codes, and delivering accurate reports to the Facility Director.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct day-to-day functions of the Maintenance Department (day and night shift) ensuring the integrity and operation of Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry and Mechanical systems, and oversee pools, spas, and wasteplant compliance.
  • Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
  • Encourage, promote, train and enforce safe work practices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in communication skills (verbal and written) with attention to spelling and grammar.
  • Provide accurate and concise written and verbal reports to the Facility Director and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Review auditable documents and daily readings to ensure compliance with state and local codes for pools, wasteplant, boilers, fire protection systems and elevators.
  • Utilize Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Building Automation System software; operate and leverage CMMS for equipment data.
  • Oversee and monitor electrical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry troubleshooting and repair.
  • Work within approved budgets and provide input for future budgets.
  • Direct, coach and supervise all subordinates; establish schedules and daily work lists for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with Expeditor to manage critical parts and materials inventories.
  • Conduct timely performance evaluations of subordinates.
  • Be attentive to building conditions and alert to guest safety issues.
  • Research and provide information on facility improvements and capital projects.
  • Serve as liaison between Maintenance and internal/external guests.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Facility Director.

Job description

  • Possess and demonstrate proficiency in communication skills (both verbal and written) minimizing spelling and grammatical errors
  • Provide accurate and concise written and verbal reports to Facility Director and associated regulatory agencies as required.
  • Review auditable documents and daily readings of all equipment to ensure compliance with state and local codes including: pools, wasteplant, boilers, fire protection systems and elevators.
  • Utilize various basic computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook as well as utilizing our Building Automated System software.
  • Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management Software by updating, deleting and confirming information on all equipment as it changes
  • Oversee and monitor electrical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry trouble shooting and repair
  • Work within the guidelines of an approved budget, tracking progress and providing input for future budgets.
  • Direct, coach and supervise all subordinates in the performance of their duties.
  • Establish schedules and provide a daily work list to all direct reports
  • Work closely with the Expeditor in establishing and maintaining critical parts and materials inventories
  • Conduct timely periodic performance evaluations of subordinates as required
  • Be attentive to the conditions of the building and alert to potential guest safety issues
  • Research and provide information pertaining tofacility improvement and capital projects.
  • Be a laison between the Maintenance Department and the rest of our internal and external guests
  • All other assigned tasks by the Facility Director
