Job Summary
As a Maintenance Manager, you will oversee organizational compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. This position will also lead the maintenance processes to impact profitability, efficiency, cost management, quality, safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, and innovation. The role reports to our Aerofit location in Fullerton, CA.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance department.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure completion of maintenance projects.
- Engage with the continuous improvement initiative of the maintenance department.
- Collaborate, manage, or implement safety procedures and provide training in safety best practices.
- Oversee the maintenance budget in partnership with site leaders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop tools and techniques to analyze and implement cost‑effective preventive maintenance procedures.
- Assist in developing standards‑based installation procedures for new equipment using best available practices.
- Participate in daily meetings and weekly planning and scheduling meetings to ensure effective maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Coordinate and review external contract services as needed to complete projects, repairs, etc.
- Manage maintenance inventory stock and implement the purchase of materials, spare parts, and other needed items.
- Apply strong problem‑solving and communication skills to support the reliability of operations.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and keep abreast of changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Conduct interviews, make hiring recommendations, train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
- Support additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in business or engineering) or equivalent experience of 8+ years in machinery maintenance within a manufacturing environment, including CNC Mills, lathes, pneumatics, hydraulics, chemical processes, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Minimum 5 years of machinery maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a maintenance lead or supervisory role.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, sufficient to understand and effectively follow safety procedures, company policies, work instructions, and operations manuals in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean / Continuous Improvement certifications.
- Ability to navigate and communicate in a highly matrixed organization.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Hands‑on, practical problem‑solving and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills including data mining, analysis, trending, and writing accompanying commentary.
Benefits and Salary
Salary range: $110,000–$140,000. Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) matching program, paid holidays, and vacation. Flexible schedules contingent upon role and location.
