Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Maintenance & Engineering Department, including Mechanics, Electricians, Welders, and Process Control Engineering.
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and plant performance.
  • Manage CMMS, maintenance metrics, compliance programs, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
  • Develop and manage the Maintenance & Engineering budget, capital plan, and capital improvement projects.
  • Lead equipment optimization, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Establish root-cause-focused problem solving and drive improvements in equipment, processes, and infrastructure.
  • Develop and coach department personnel through training, performance management, skills development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety-critical inspections, environmental requirements, ISO 9001, RC14001, and company EHS policies.
  • Manage maintenance inventory and engineering documentation, including FMEA-based spare parts planning and drawing control.
  • Advance predictive maintenance strategies and TPM transitions.
  • Collaborate with Plant Management, Production, Engineering, and other departments to meet safety, reliability, and efficiency goals.

Job description

The Maintenance Manager will provide leadership and direction across all preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities, as well as site engineering functions, at the Fort Worth manufacturing facility. This role will lead the Maintenance & Engineering Department, oversee maintenance and engineering programs, and drive equipment reliability, plant optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing and executing capital projects, managing the department budget and performance metrics, maintaining compliance with safety and environmental requirements, and developing the technical capabilities of the maintenance team. This position will work closely with the Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Process Engineers, and other department leaders to improve plant efficiency, reliability, and overall performance.

Maintenance Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Maintenance & Engineering Department, including Mechanics, Electricians, Welders, and Process Control Engineering.
  • Oversee preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, uptime, and plant performance.
  • Manage the site's CMMS, maintenance metrics, compliance programs, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
  • Develop and manage the Maintenance & Engineering budget, capital plan, and capital improvement projects.
  • Lead equipment optimization, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
  • Establish a root-cause-focused problem-solving culture and drive improvements in equipment, processes, and infrastructure.
  • Develop and coach department personnel through training, performance management, skills development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety-critical inspections, environmental requirements, ISO 9001, RC14001, and company EHS policies.
  • Manage maintenance inventory and engineering documentation, including FMEA-based spare parts planning and drawing control.
  • Advance predictive maintenance strategies and support the site's transition toward a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) approach.
  • Collaborate with Plant Management, Production, Engineering, and other departments to achieve safety, reliability, efficiency, budget, and continuous improvement goals.
Maintenance Manager Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering preferred. Electrical or Chemical Engineering degrees will also be considered with relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of maintenance and/or engineering experience within a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience within a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of and commitment to applicable safety regulations and requirements.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and engineering challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred
  • Experience with SAP and Brightly or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with PMP, Lean, Kaizen, and/or Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
  • Experience implementing or advancing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
  • Experience managing capital projects and maintenance budgets.
