Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Maintenance Manager to coordinate the upkeep and repair of diverse production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with safety policies.

You will lead the maintenance team, manage inventories, and work with external vendors on projects while staying on call and meeting performance targets. The role requires strong leadership and a proactive maintenance mindset.

Qualifications

• Four years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Two years’ experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline.
• Be willing to travel and work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Pre-employment, Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the maintenance team to support and guide with regular reviews and audits of work.
• Monitor warranties and service guarantees; notify personnel of expiration dates.
• Conduct monthly inventory and verify maintenance parts via computerized system.
• Source OEM and after-market suppliers for competitive pricing on parts or service.
• Order parts/supplies and monitor usage.
• Initiate and maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
• Oversee contract work and installations by outside vendors.
• Remain on call as needed.
• Assist in selection, evaluation, and installation of capital and expense projects.
• Enforce company policies, safety program, and housekeeping standards.
• Complete annual performance reviews and set department goals.
• Develop training plans for the maintenance team.

Position Summary

Coordinate the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of production or processing machines and equipment with minimal downtime. Involves checking, setting up, and operating various types of production tools and equipment prior to approving for production use.

Position Description

• Manage Maintenance team: support and guide team with frequent reviews and audits of work.
• Monitor warranties and service guarantees. Notify personnel of impending expiration dates.
• Conduct selective inventory monthly and verify with computerized inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Locate O.E.M. manufacturers and after-market distributors in order to obtain competitive costs on parts or improved service.
• Order parts/supplies or give authority to maintenance staff and monitor.
• Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
• Oversee and plan contract work and installations done by outside vendors.
• Must be available to be on call.
• Assist in selection, evaluation, and installation of capital and expense projects.
• Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including safety program, and good housekeeping.
• Complete annual performance reviews, set targets for department and maintain goal setting for maintenance team.
• Develop additional training plan for maintenance team.
• Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct.
• Follow all company safety guidelines.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Requirements/Preferences

• High school diploma or GED.
• Computer/Data entry skills.
• Demonstrated personnel managerial skills.
• Four years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant
