Job summary

Pratt Industries Inc in Conyers, GA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime. You will lead the Maintenance team, monitor warranties, and manage inventories and vendor relationships to optimize service costs.

The role requires 4 years in manufacturing maintenance, 2 years in electronics/mechanical/electrical domains, and a strong safety mindset. On-call availability, night/weekend work, and travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated personnel managerial skills.
• Four years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Two years’ experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
• Professional attitude & conduct.
• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and complete drug screen & background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and repair of production equipment with minimal downtime.
• Manage Maintenance team: provide guidance and conduct reviews/audits.
• Monitor warranties and service guarantees; notify of expiration dates.
• Conduct inventory checks and verify with computerized inventory of parts.
• Source OEMs and distributors for competitive parts or service.
• Order parts and monitor supply levels.
• Initiate and maintain preventive maintenance program.
• Oversee contract work and installations by outside vendors.
• Assist in selecting, evaluating, and installing capital/expense projects.
• Enforce all safety guidelines and company policies; maintain housekeeping.

Position Summary:

Coordinate the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of production or processing machines and equipment with minimal downtime. Involves checking, setting up, and operating various types of production tools and equipment prior to approving for production use.

Position Description:

• Manage Maintenance team: support and guide team with frequent reviews and audits of work.
• Monitor warranties and service guarantees. Notify personnel of impending expiration dates.
• Conduct selective inventory monthly and verify with computerized inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Locate O.E.M. manufacturers and after-market distributors in order to obtain competitive costs on parts or improved service.
• Order parts/supplies or give authority to maintenance staff and monitor.
• Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
• Oversee and plan contract work and installations done by outside vendors.
• Must be available to be on call.
• Assist in selection, evaluation, and installation of capital and expense projects.
• Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including safety program, and good housekeeping.
• Complete annual performance reviews, set targets for department and maintain goal setting for maintenance team.
• Develop additional training plan for maintenance team.
• Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct.
• Follow all company safety guidelines.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Requirements/Preferences:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated personnel managerial skills.
• Four years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant
• Two years’ experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
